Devil’s Peak, the third of his books to be translated into Swedish, takes place in Cape Town and tells the story of three characters brought together by a grim fate. Each in his or her own way has been scarred by the unhealed conflicts of apartheid and war in South Africa. Meyer has been a journalist in both the old and the new South Africa.
